SAINDHAVI

Saindhavi is a versatile singer with gifted voice.
She is a student of std XII in Chettinad Vidyashram.
Saindhavi is a recipient of the prestigious National Scholarship -CCRT scholarship for Carnatic classical vocal- from Indian Government. She has received many accolades, awards, prizes and appreciations from various organizations like Music Academy, The Indian Fine Arts, Hamsadwani, Thyagabramhagana Sabha etc..

Saindhavi has also given hundreds of performances- Classical, Bhajans, Light and Cine Music on stages .

Saindhavi has also sung in more than 50 musical albums ..

Latest Highlight is the "YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD 2005 " from STANSFIELD School of Business - Singapore for which she was unanimously selected

Kumararaja Muthamizh Mandram honoured her with a title "KURAL ISAI SELVI" on 28 th September 2005 .

M.A. VENKATAKRISHNAN - DISCOURSE

Shri M.A. Venkatakrishnan
Dr. M.A. Venkatakrishnan Swami is a descendant of Anandalwan, a deciple of Sri Ramanuja.

He had his bachelor degree and masters degree in Sanskrit at Vivekanananda College, Mylapore, Chennai. As soon as he finished his M.A. (Sanskrit) in the year 1977, he was appointed as Asst. Professor of Sanskrit in the same college and he continued his services there till 1986.

He was awarded M.Phil., for his dissertation on Tattvasara of Vatsya Varadacharya and Ph.D. for his thesis on Sribashya of Sri Ramanuja. When the University of Madras started a separate Department of Vaishnavism in the year 1986, he joined the Department and till date he is working as a Professor of the Department of Vaishnavism. He was awarded the D.Litt. Degree, the highest degrees of the University in the year 2004 for his research work “Vainava Acharyargalin Vazhvum Vakkum”.

Sri U.Ve.Prativadi Bhayankaram Annangaracharya Swami (PBA) grace fell on MAV when he was young and gave him training in delivering discourses and conferred the title ‘MEDHAAVI MANI” on him.

H.H. Sri Vanamamali Jeeyar Swami conferred the title `GAMBHIRA VAG VARSHEE’. The Vallbha Vidya Sabha has given him the title `Srivaishnava Ratnam’. In the year 1978 MAV (when he was 24years old) started Srivaishnava Monthly Journal in Tamil by name GEETHACHARYAN which carried articles on Srivaishnava Religion and Philosophy in simple Tamil.

He participates in all the Divyaprabandha Goshtis held at Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple, Triplicane, Chennai. Now he is a Senior Adyapaka and the Secretary of the Veda Adhyapaka Goshti of the above temple.

He also participates in the Goshtis at Sri Varadarajaswamy Temple, Kanchipuram on special occasions.

His discourses on Thiruppaavai and Sri Ramayanam are very popular among the devotees. He has given several lectures through Televisions and Radio.

Almost all the Srivaishnavas know about his audio tapes on Gadyatrayam, Vishnu Sahasra Namam, Stotra Ratnam, Kaisika Puranam, Nalayira Divya Prabhandam etc., as they have been rendered very beautifully with his golden voice.
